The risk for diabetes increases with diabetes , according to researchers and scientists.

1.Smoking increases type-2 diabetes risk by 44% in smokers when compared to non-smokers

15% of diabetic cases are smoking, according to researchers



Smoking interfere with insulin production and raises blood sugar and insulin resistance is further increased.


Smoking is also one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases which in turn responsible for deaths due to diabetes. Risk of diabetes is more in heavy smokers when compared to light smokers( note: Heavy smokers are 60% increase in risk of getting diabetes).

Along with this smoking also involve in the business of creating problems like-

• Lung Cancer
• Heart Diseases
• High Blood Pressure
• Bad Breath
• Gum Disease
• Depression
• Snoring
• Infertility on men and women
• Thyroid Disease
• Harmful effects on Bones and Joints

So, smoking is not only the cause of the above problems even if you don’t smoke you are going to pay penalty if you just inhale the smoke released by the smokers so you must remember that you should not avoid cigarettes you must also avoid smokers near by you .
So tell and discuss about these disadvantages to your family persons and friends so that you can make your surroundings smokeless and pollution free which indirectly safeguard your health.
